ABSTRACT:

Field data collected with GPS is evaluated by softwares in the office. In general, GPS evaluation softwares are classified into two categories according to their objectives, which are scientific and commercial.

In this study, observations were collected for different baseline lengths between Continuously Operating GPS station in Ankara (ANKR) and Continuously Operating GPS Station of Tubitak in Gebze (TUBI) with six points that are belong to Turkish National Fundamental GPS Network (TNFGN). Obtained baseline lengths were changing between 15.6 km and 284.6 km. With Topcon Hiper Plus, 30 seconds epoch interval and 6 hours GPS data were collected at 12 base station. These observations were evaluated using commercial softwares; Leica Geo Office (LGO 5.0), Trimble Total Control (TTC 2.7), Pinnacle (1.0) and academic software of Bernese (4.0) as 2, 4 and 6 hours projects. At the end of the post processing computed baseline lengths were compared with real values.

As a consequence of comparison, it has been seen that the new generation commercial softwares can give as good results as academic softwares if developed parameters are used.
