ABSTRACT:
In the sense of work,the analitical evaluation of the mosques in the city center of Konya is being performed in terms of their architectural featuras. Konya is among the leading cities who have the most mosques in number according to the statictial datum. It also attracts attention in respect to the population per mosques. On the other hand, Konya was the capital of Anatolian Seljuks. The advanced examples, especially the religious buildings, of the Seljuk Architecture was constructed here. In this respect, Konya has an important historical accumulation in means of ‘Temple Architecture’. Naturally, it is being expected that contemporary mosque architecture should utilize from this accumulation. In this sense, in addition to being scientific, the work has a popular meaning.
