INFLUENCE OF HYDROGEN ION CONCENTRATION ON POPULATION DYNAMICS OFHOPLOLAIMUS INDICUS ON CITRUS AND MANAGEMENT WITH VAM FUNGUS

Author: F. SHAHINA Publishing Date: 2005 E-ISSN: 0255-7576 Volume 23 Issue 1 ABSTRACT: Fluctuation in nematode population on citrus was observed at different pH level. Female population was maximum at pH 7.8, larval population increased at pH 7.6. Maximum population of male was recorded at pH 7.4-7.6. Maximum total population of nematode was observed at pH 7.4-7.8 but optimum pH for maximum population (male, […]

EVALUATION OF PAECILOMYCES LILACINUS FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF MELOIDOGYNE INCOGNITA

Author: M.A. PATHAN, S.H. SOOMRO, M.M. JISKANI, K.H. WAGAN AND J.A. MEMON Publishing Date: 2005 E-ISSN: 0255-7576 Volume 23 Issue 1 ABSTRACT: The present studies were conducted to see the effect of Paecilomyces lilacinus, a soil borne hyphomycete fungal bio-control agent against Meloidogyne incognita root-knot nematode on tomato. P. lilacinus significantly increased growth of tomato plants inoculated with Meloidogyne incognita. Production of galls per

COMPARATIVE EFFICACY OF PAECILOMYCES LILACINUS AND TALAROMYCES FLAVUSON COLONIZATION OF MUNGBEAN AND SOYBEAN ROOTS BY MELOIDOGYNE INCOGNITA AND ROOT INFECTING FUNGI

Author: A.M. LODHI, M.A. KHANZADA AND S. SHAHZAD Publishing Date: 2005 E-ISSN: 0255-7576 Volume 23 Issue 1 ABSTRACT: Soil amendment with rice grain inocula of Paecilomyces lilacinus and Talaromyces flavus showed a significant suppression in colonization of mungbean and soybean roots by Macrophomina phaseolina, Rhizoctonia solani and Fusarium solani. Paecilomyces lilacinus also showed a reduction in Root-Knot Index (RKI) whereas T. flavus was ineffective.
