ABSTRACT:

Nematode fauna associated with barberry (Berberis vulgaris L.) was investigated and identified. Soil samples were collected in the spring and summer seasons of 2012 from rhizosphere of barberry in South Khorasan Province. Iran. The plant parasitic nematodes were identified on the basis of morphological and morphometerical characters. In this study. four species of Boleodorus Thome. 1941 were identified. These species were Boleodonts typicus Husain & Khan. 1968: B. impar Khan & Basir. 1964: B. volutus Lima & Siddiqi. 1963 and B. thylactus Thorne. 1941. Except B. thylactus these species have recorded for the first time in Iran.
