ABSTRACT:

The present study deals with new and known dorylaimid species. Laimydorus wirisi n.sp., is characterized by a continuous lip region, short odontostyle aperture and relatively short tail. It comes close toL. siddiqii Baqri & Jana, 1983 but it can be separated by having short tail and odontostyle aperture, slightly higher c, value and longer anterior genital branch (tail = 185-215 vs 227-308µm, c = 12-13.4 vs 7-12.5; odontostyle aperture = 8-9 vs 11-14 µm; ant. genital branch = 555-590 vs 317-482 µm). The known species viz., Aporcelaimellus obtusicaudatus (Bastian, 1865) Altherr, 1968 and Allodorylaimus americanus Andrassy (1986) are re-described and illustrated for the first time from Pakistan.
