ABSTRACT:

Experiments were carried out to study the effect of certain fungal bioagents along with oilcake and nematicide against root-knot nematodes Meloidogyne incognita infecting tomato. In pot experiment, P. lilacinus and Aspergillus niger alone or in combination with mustard cake and furadan promoted plant growth, reduced number of galls per plant, egg-masses per root system and eggs per egg-mass respectively. The infested soil treated with both fungi in combination with mustard cake and furadan also reduced nematodes population in soil and roots. The fungal bio-agents along with mustard cake and nematicide also gave least nematodes reproduction factor (0.363) as compared to untreated infested soil (1.783).
