ABSTRACT:

Medicinally important plant babchi (Psoraleo cotylifolia L.) is highly susceptible to root-knot nematode (Meloidogvne incognita) infection. Study was conducted to access the potential of Pasteuria penetrans and neem extract alone and in combination on Meloidogrne incognita. All treatments significantly reduced the nematode infection as compared to control. Infection was least when P. penetrans and neem extract applied in combination. It gave maximum increase in shoot weight. shoot length and reduction in the root weight. Minimum number of juveniles per root system was observed in case of combined application of P. penetrans and neem extract.
